I wish Backerkit would stop asking me for money.

@Tim_Eagon Yup. I don’t know how they got the idea I was sitting on money to invest.
-
@Tim_Eagon pay us so that you might be able to pay us more in the future emails coming twice a day for weeks now
@bedirthan Quite frankly, I'm just waiting for KS to buy them out.

@frequentbeef I backed a bunch of projects during Mothership Month, so they must have tagged me as someone with a lot of disposable income, but I was there for the projects, not the platform.

@Tim_Eagon @frequentbeef I haven’t backed that much, though maybe it’s that it includes a couple of Dwarven Forge. I just suspect they are sending this to many people and it worries me.

@Tim_Eagon @frequentbeef I also didn’t like that one email where they said money you invest can be used as credits. It was really hard to follow. I mean, this is instead of them losing company ownership and huge profits.

@Alphastream @frequentbeef Crowdfunding a business doesn't seem like a wise decision, but what do I know.

@Tim_Eagon @frequentbeef You sure think that taking a percentage of all those projects would cover a business. Hmm.

@Alphastream @frequentbeef I haven't been following it super closely, but I know KS has been working on new project/pledge management tools - that must have Backerkit really concerned.

@Alphastream @Tim_Eagon @frequentbeef They are definitely just spamming it out, because I've gotten multiples and I'm not a big spender at all (especially recently/in the same timeframe).

@taichara @Alphastream @Tim_Eagon yeah, I assumed they blasted it to everyone, which is an odd way to do fundraising. Reminds me of Fig, was it? The crowdfunding platform for video games where the schtick was it was supposed to be an _investment_.

@frequentbeef @taichara @Alphastream It smacks of desperation.

@Tim_Eagon @frequentbeef @taichara Or bad finance people. Big investment firms do this too. A friend went through a merger and the owning company offered a weird buy-in deal. The research led my friend to believe it’s a bad idea for employees.
