I can’t believe someone named “SatansMaggotyCumFart” would say something so offensive.
What’s offensive about that?
She’s a very handsome lady.

Not casting aspersions or trying to cancel Skyrim Grandma, but the BDS movement is calling for a Microsoft (and by extension Bethesda) boycott. If you’re thinking about buying Oblivion Remastered, maybe don’t.
You can always “buy” it on the high seas, like Meta did with millions of books

What does BDS stand for?
Boycott, divest, sanction, regarding Israel.
MSFT owns Bethesda, and MSFT is actively partnering with, providing software services for, right now, the Israeli government and military.
Microsoft Statement on the Issues Relating to Technology Services in Israel and Gaza - Microsoft On the Issues
We have conducted an internal review and engaged an external firm to undertake additional fact-finding to help us assess these issues. Based on these reviews, including interviewing dozens of employees and assessing documents, we have found no evidence to date that Microsoft’s Azure and AI technologies have been used to target or harm people in the conflict in Gaza.

Can’t even say ‘Palestine’ internally, right now:
Microsoft is blocking employees from sending emails with the word 'Palestine'
Microsoft (MSFT) has reportedly implemented internal email filters that restrict messages containing terms such as “Palestine,” “Gaza,” and “genocide.” The move, which Microsoft described as part of an effort to limit mass, non-work-related messages, has sparked accusations of censorship and bias — particularly amid rising employee protests over the company’s contracts with the Israeli government.

… after they fired a whole bunch of people who were working at MSFT and basicslly both leaked that MSFT was working with the IMOD, and also demanded they cease doing so.
Microsoft fires employees who organized vigil for Palestinians killed in Gaza
Microsoft has fired two employees who organized an unauthorized vigil at the company’s headquarters for Palestinians killed in Gaza during Israel’s yearlong war with Hamas.

These are two different pairs of two who’ve been fired for speaking up, out of the 1st and 3rd of this chunk of links.
I used to contract for MSFT, a decade ago.
I would have said I cannot imagine how their internal culture of self censorship and sycophancy could get any worse, but apparently this is how.
I am very confident more than just these 4 people have been fired, or at the very least, had their careers/employment functionally slotted into an early grave.

I saw the link before the comment and wondered what an “ovement” was.

I hope she wears a lower cut shirt this time.

And like what are you buying that the original game plus a few mods wouldn’t give you? Controller support on steam? Not worth it

Thank God I bought the GOTY on sale years ago and it looks great with a few tweaks and mods…

If you have an ethics dilemma don’t buy any video games. None of the studios are doing what they should or paying their people well. None of these corporations are your friends, end the billionaire bosses aren’t good people, not even Gabe.
It’s Microsoft today, Nintendo yesterday, Sony the day before, steam tomorrow, cycle back, etc.
Again you may as well quit gaming if you’re worried about corporate greed

Only big studio gaming. There are still indie games. Although where you get it also would matter if its ethically important to you.

This isn’t an ethics dilemma. The BDS movement is specifically calling for this boycott. I’m trying to stand in solidarity with them in my own small way.

Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions. Microsoft is complicit in the genocide of Palestinians, as shown by the recent outburst of employees working on tools used by Zionists to perpetuate apartheid in Israel’s territories.
Here, someone gave more details:
-
What does BDS stand for?
It stands for “Beautiful Donkey Salivates”. Pretty self explanatory if you ask me
-
What’s offensive about that?
She’s a very handsome lady.
Best name I’ve ever seen
