I decided to use up some stuff for my dinner. Stuff I made or grew: Sourdough discard herb crackers. Sourdough bread. Smoked havarti. Chunky apple sauce. Bell pepper. The end grain Creeper cutting board it’s served on.
Other stuff: Pesto Wheat crackers Emergency goat cheese.
Cost per person: no idea but probably under $5
Wife wants PB&J. 95¢

You buy it without an explicit meal in mind. If you don’t feel like cooking you can eat it on crackers.
If you do feel like cooking you can make a Dutch baby, crackers, bread, French omelette or whatever.
But there is a clock running. You probably have a month to eat it before it isn’t in prime condition any more so if you don’t eat it in an emergency then it becomes an emergency to find a use.It’s one of those fancy humble things like a good tin of sardines that you can keep on hand for very little money and get creative with. Aldi probably has the best price.
