Do you see how the actual product doesn’t say black?
Can you see that the product shown in each picture is identical?
Can you see how there is not a single black oats product available in the Bob’s Red Mill Amazon store?
Yet "black is clearly there in the first one. They are counting on people searching for black oats saying that listing, the only black oats listing on all of Amazon, and thinking they’re buying black oats. But they aren’t.
As far as I can find there is only one company selling black oats. Den Sorte Havre. And I don’t know anything about any of the retailers so I won’t link to them. Important thing is that they’re not available on Amazon. No black oats are available on Amazon. No matter what turns up in the sponsored search results.

Excellent commentary about the way that amazon directly lies to it’s customers - amazon is so heavily enshittified, it’s not surprising they’re down to straight up lying.
I also wanna mention this mistake from the article:
a yoghurt flatbread filled with rum bananas competed with Bundaberg banana toffee rum liqueur, bananas, oatmeal and waffle seeds, tossed in Davidson plum sugar.
Waffle seeds do not exist. Given the combo of native and iconically australian ingredients that should be wattle seeds, often used to give desserts a nutty flavor.
