    My contribution to football Sunday. These puffs are even better than Little Caesars and only a fraction of the cost ($1.61 per person). 24 puffs for $9.68!

    Dough (makes 24-30 puffs)

    • 4.25 cups Bread Flour = $0.93
    • 2.25 tsp Rapid-rise Yeast = $1.00
    • 1.5 tsp Salt = $0.02
    • 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil = $0.36
    • 1.75 cup Warm Water = Free

    Total = $2.31

    Filling

    • 7 oz Pizza sauce = $.70
    • 16 oz Cheese = $3.58
    • 6 oz Pepperoni = $3.09

    Total = $7.37

    Total = $9.68 ($1.61 per person)

    This dough recipe is for 24-30 puffs. Mix all dry ingredients then mix in oil, then slowly mix in water. Knead for 10 min or stand mix for 5. Oil a large bowl and let dough rise until doubled 60-90min in a warm place. Dump dough onto a lightly floured surface and divide into 24 or so pieces.

    Preheat oven 450F. Spray muffin tins with oil and press dough balls flat and a little up the walls of the tin. Spoon sauce onto the dough, layer in some cheese, place 2 or 3 pepperoni, top with a layer of cheese.

    Bake for ~15 min until the cheese is melted and golden.

    In a bowl melt about 5 tbsp of butter. Add garlic powder, sugar, salt, and Italian seasoning and mix. Brush the top of the puffs and serve.

      You are finally invented a form of Chicago Pizza that I’m interested in: a legitimate “pizza pie“. It’s the perfect marriage of a pizza, a lasagna, and a meat pie.

        Sorry, but a cardboard box is better than LC.

          Only if you don’t buy the cheapest cardboard. Since that’s what LC sells…

                I’m going to cheat by buying the frozen grocery store pizza dough, so yours are definitely better.
