I had half a pound of ground lamb and more dough left so I just did a repeat of the lamb pitas with hummus. But for the hummus I went with apples and pita rejects that I made too thin.

I made an error. My wife loved the combination of pita, hummus and apples. She says she wants to eat that all the time now. I might have to start making hummus and pitas in bulk.

Most veggies and fruit work well with hummus IMO. Its flavor isn’t strong enough to contrast what you dip in it.

Garlic hummus is the best! But probably not with apples.

        Your dinners look great.

I eat apples with hummus sometimes, but I prefer something less sweet. Flatbread or cucumbers. Sharp cheese is a better contrast with the sweetness of apples, IMO.

I did specifically leave the garlic out of this batch.
