Homemade potato chips. Fresh baked bread. Cheddar. The tuna mix is tuna, pepperoncini, pickle relish, red onion, brown mustard, mayo.

    Cost per person: $2.62

Dill. But I’m not particular. I use whatever is on hand. But it takes three years to go through a jar so I’m not stocking more than one kind.

find most people don’t put enough acid in their tuna mix to balance the grilled bread, cheese, tuna and mayo. So I add the relish and also mince up pepperonis to balance everything.

Im not a tuna melt person, but i do like a regular tuna salad sandwich without cheese. I like relish, but generally I put a cap full of gherkins pickle juice in which gives it such a great sweet finish to it. Can’t have tuna without it now, if its homemade.

A few years ago I switched over to mayo for all grilled bread recipes. Works so much better than butter or oil.

Last night’s midnight snack was a slice and a heel of that loaf with extra chunky natural and raspberry jam.

                    Pbj is a staple here.
