    Two and a half years ago, I bought my current desktop PC for €900 or so.

    It has 32 GB of RAM. Today, the RAM alone probably costs twice as much as the entire PC cost me.

      @juergen_hubert even the price of used laptop computers with 8 GiB RAM with CPUs not officially supported by Windows 11 has gone up by at least 50%. It doesn't matter if it's DDR3 RAM, if it's just enough it's getting attractive to many people.

            I spent $300 CAD upgrading my system with used parts a few months ago. It’s only DDR4 and an AMD 5800X (+MOBO), but still…

            Best $300 I’ve spent in a long time.
