@faab64 @juergen_hubert You're right. This is military industry propaganda and an effort to erode civil rights in Europe, as is happening in the US & UK. Putin is not stupid (quite intelligent compared to US & UK leaders actually) and he knows there is no way Russia, with a GDP the size of Italy, can invade and conquer all of Europe. It's a stupid idea.
People also overestimated the intelligence of the Nazis.

Still, given the current situation, I approve of this. I mean, #Putin has switched the economy of #Russia to a war footing. And if he should win the war against #Ukraine , does anyone really expect that he will switch back to a civilian economy?
No. Like the Third Reich, he's going to continue to use the military until his empire collapses.

Right now, two hostile foreign powers - Russia and the USA - want Nazis to take over Germany. Again. This is not hypothetical - the Nazis have build up strong connections with the Russian government with frequent "business trips" where they meet members of Russia's propaganda outreach, and they are now doing the same with the #MAGA movement.
And "Nazis taking over Germany, again" is an outcome in which I have the _strongest_ personal interest in preventing - since it directly threatens the safety of not only me, but many other people I care about.
So yeah, I support increased cooperation within and greater independence of the #EuropeanUnion , since that's one of the best ways of stopping the Nazis. And I am also going to support #Ukraine , since they are directly fighting one of those fascists threats to Germany.
