'Cos the thing about Death Race 2000 is that it's both a satire of hyperviolent entertainment and an *example* of hyperviolent entertainment. It argues against the thing it relies on to be entertaining.
Like, the last scene in the movie is the race's announcer pleading with the protagonist not to end the races because people need, and I quote, "VIOLENCE, VIOLENCE, VIOLENCE" and then being run over. But Frankenstein runs him over *because Frank doesn't agree and thinks violent entertainment is unnecessary*

And the audience cheers at Junior's death! He's annoying as fuck! He's BEEN annoying as fuck the whole movie! *I* was glad he died!
But Frank killed Junior to stop his speech about how violence is entertaining! But running him over proved him RIGHT!

#MonsterdonAgain, Death Race 2000 is one of those movies that is both bad and *deliberately* bad, making it hard to tell which parts are intentionally terrible and which parts are terrible because nobody knows what the fuck they're doing.
