For anyone who's struggling with the beginning of #CriticalRole Campaign 4, my advice is stick with it.

For anyone who's struggling with the beginning of #CriticalRole Campaign 4, my advice is stick with it. By about 2/3 of the way through the first episode things have clicked. It's just a very different feel from how they've started any previous campaign. #critters

@jewishreader I find it novelistic. Lots of stuff to absorb all at once though; I had to go back and read a wiki to make sure I didn't miss anything.

@Tim_Eagon It was *a lot.* I also don't know anything about the setting or lore, but I'm used to that so I'm just going with the flow

@jewishreader I'm proud that I finally grasped all the relationships between the PCs. Also found it cool that most of them have day jobs.

Update: #CriticalRole campaign 4 has gotten, I think, very good already. *However* if you are looking for pure escapism this does not seem like the season for you. There's already a fascists versus academic freedom storyline.

@jewishreader while it's still high fantasy, it definitely feels more grounded than previous campaigns.
