Cheese tea biscuits

    I had it with tomato soup last night. 🙂

    Recipe:

    Preheat oven to 425°F.

    Mix 4 cups flour

    8 tsp baking powder

    2 tsp salt

    Cut in 1 cup butter or shortening.

    Add 2 cups of milk

    Mix and stir to form a dough.

    Add 1 to 2 cups of grated cheese.

    Knead it about 8 to 10x.

    Line baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Drop balls of dough on baking sheet. You can also roll it or pat it and cut it. I just drop it with a spoon.

    Bake for 12 to 15 minutes. It should make about 38 tea biscuits.

      needs a litre of garlic butter to dunk them in. nothing nicer then some cheddar bay biscuits
