Yesterday was #gameday! I didn't get many pictures, but that's OK. I haven't posted about this stuff much lately, and I'm trying to get back in the habit. So, there'll be some hiccups till I get going again. Also, my therapist told me to be nicer to myself. I'm trying not to beat myself up too badly for forgetting. We started the day out with #Betrayal. Always a good time. There was a ghost. J. did his best, but violence solved all problems for us.I finally got to play #Ra. It's a game I've known about since I started playing modern board games all those years ago. It was a blast! I need that super fancy edition our friend brought. The we played some #Tacta. Fun little domino-like card game. After a break, we played #Guillotine. It's a favorite with this group. Always good for a laugh or two. And it's a pretty solid little card game.We finished the night off with #Babylon. This was a tricky one. Thinking in 3d was tough for me. All the light bulb moments came from watching A. He sort of stumbled into an amazing structure, but I think he also just understood how to do it. I need another crack at this one.#boardgames #games #WhatDidYouPlayMondays

@golgaloth That's how I first heard about the strike; a friend of mine is launching a KS next week and was soliciting opinions about what to do.

Hi! My Masto feed has been kind of slow and sometimes depressing lately. Looking for a few active users/potential friendos who like to chat a bit and enjoy any of: #BoardGames #Art #TTRPG #BikeTooter #Writing #Gaming #FountainPen #Books #Cooking #ADHD I’ve been posting lately about my solo RPG project, The Spirit of Small Gifts. I also sometimes post about shibari and clothed shibari figure drawing but I always CW and tag those posts.

Picked up Black Orchestra after a rosy review from @theplayersaidgrant and watching a how-to video, and boy this is something special. A co-op Hitler killer, which I hope everyone on my feed can agree would be a good thing. And if not, show your Nazi-loving ass out. And jump off a tall building. There are certainly comparisons to be made to Pandemic. A player does their actions, there's a draw from the "bad things happen" deck, play proceeds. But there are really interesting diversions. First, the vibe is completely different. The "bad things happen" deck isn't necessarily that bad. Players only have 3 actions per turn, which means turns are snappier. There's a Conspire action which could potentially explode the number of actions a player can take at the risk of hurting the team as a whole. And the lack of those pesky Pandemic-style cubes means there's less risk of quarterbacking. Also unlike Pandemic, players have no idea at the start of the game what they'll need to do to win. They have to uncover a plot card from a thick Conspirator deck, then wait for the right time to enact their plot. And then there's the educational factor. Your characters are actual historical people who conspired against Hitler.Haven't finished a solo playthrough yet, but really enjoying this.#boardgames
