@woodenmachines @emilianosandri @cpm @pluralistic Plain mechanical bikes are still one of the pinnacles of interop.Recently I assembled my new bike by buying part by part. Very little research and I ended up with no problems of incompatibility, despite basically every part being of a different brand altogether. Ebikes have similar potential.But of course there is always the push for proprietary parts.
