Learned Fate do the Fellowship yesterday and really enjoyed it. Great co-op game. Probably sold a bit by the fact we barely managed to win on the first run. Still, it felt like there was always something interesting to do. It’s been a loooong time since I’ve played FInal Fantasy 7. Like, probably 25 years now. Maybe 20. But definitely before I permanently moved away from home. It’s one of my favourite games of all time, but also, one of the hardest for me to revisit. I’m at the City of the Ancients now, and I’m finding myself woefully unprepared to handle it.

I'm not a person to whine about canon, but I do look to the reasons why it is changed. The story of #DnD 5e after a decade of observing its creative choices is a game that abandoned its weird and wild heart for worlds anyone could understand on a glance. I get it, but I don't think I respect it. I would encourage folks to look back to when the modules were weird and daring. When you sailed in Phlogiston and met grey aliens. It was such a burst of creativity. #ttrpg #game
