My 4yo asked me if I wanted to see "a shark and an octopus in real water." Sure. So I followed him into the bathroom, where the sink was stopped and a toy great white shark and a toy octopus were, in fact, in real water. "It's the ocean," he explained. "I put salt in it."#parenting

The Bug has asked for a tea party. So what do we do? We break out the gong fu tea set I got for father's day last year and put celestial seasonings lemon zinger into the pot I got for good oolongs.(She's 7, she does not need the caffeine from my good teas)#parenting #tea

I've bargained with my daughter today that if she pulls all the weeds out of our landscaping this week, I would set-up a Band Camp account for her and then gift her everything in the discography of one of her favorite artists.
