My late sisters final book has now been published in Arabic: Readings in Syrian Prison Literature: The Poetics of Human Rights. Shareah sadly passed in 2023 however, this book remains her seminal work. It really humanizes the suffering of prisoners during the Assad regime. R. I just visited Damascus for the first time since 2006. I grew up there, so the trip was a LOT of emotions. A few photos from the trip. 1. One the major streets of Damascus, Nasr Street2.
