Shareah sadly passed in 2023 however, this book remains her seminal work. It really humanizes the suffering of prisoners during the Assad regime. R. Shareah Taleghani was a tenured professor of Middle East Studies at Queens Collage, NYC. #HumanRights #Syria #Assad
