Copyright laws and patents are just ways for the rich to gatekeep access. They should be abolished altogether.

I mean, the European colonists also didn't give a fuck about copyright when they traveled across the globe, stealing left and right. And many of today's rich, who are whining about patents and copyright, have built their wealth on past thefts and exploitations to begin with.

It's more like sitting down next to where your bike is locked up and taking measurements and enough photos to build an exact copy. They have theirs when it is finished, and you still have yours.
