Here is your irregular reminder that reactionaries in the so-called "Western World" have their own shitty reasons to support the ethnic cleansing perpetrated by the government of #Israel - there is absolutely no good reason to stoop to #antisemitism and "Jewish World Conspiracy" fantasies, and many good reasons not to.

Even beyond loons like the so-called "Christian Zionists" who want to restore Israel "to its historical borders" in order to proceed on their checklist for the End of the World, there are sane-but-evil reasons to support the government of Israel. Many of these people are _heavily_ invested in the "Clash of Culture" narrative, and they _need_ Muslims as an "external enemy". For them, this conflict is great, because it alienates Muslims and the "Westen World" from each other.

I mean, when any of these people talk about "Judeo-Christian Values" - do you honestly believe that they give a shit about actual Jews? They are just happy that they can use this conflict to go after Muslims - including those who hold the same citizenship as they do. Presumably, purges of the Muslim populations of their countries is one of their end goals, although no doubt they will look for new targets once this is accomplished.

So when you want to criticize the government of Israel, _say_ "the government of Israel" - and not "Jews". And credit the other governments who support Israel with their own agency and hold _them_ accountable for their choices rather than using antisemitic narratives.
