I always mesh bag a sunflower head or two so I have seeds for next year, but then the rest of the seeds are free picking for the birds!

I always mesh bag a sunflower head or two so I have seeds for next year, but then the rest of the seeds are free picking for the birds! This is the time of year we get American goldfinches, they LOVE snacking straight on the flowers.
