One head of broccoli, I cut the stem thin leading up to the florets then break apart by hand.

    Pinch of salt.

Rough chop a little onion and a jalapeno 3/4 pith removed (yeah, I’m a pansy. Leave the whole thing in if you’re adventurous).

    One more pinch of salt.

Finely dice a clove of garlic and about equal amount of fresh ginger and add towards the end with desired seasonings. Mine was more garlic in powder form, tiny pinch of nutmeg, allspice, and cinnamon(best approximation of star anise mixture I can do stuck inside), and a little sugar.

Once broccoli starts to brown kill the heat, shred cheese on top and cover and wait 5 minutes.

Use whatever rice you’d like but follow their directions.
