It sucks we have to face a stark rise in fascism.

It sucks we have to face a stark rise in fascism. But I am so grateful this resurgence of evil is, objectively, deeply incompetent.
It turns, out much of the #EpsteinFiles redactions were done by placing black boxes over the original text on the pdf. So you can still highlight, copy, and paste to recreate the original documents.
Simple copy/paste may bring down some evil people, hopefully even #Trump.
Take heart that the enemy is this incompetent.

Alas, the Nazis were also very incompetent, and this did not stop them.

That's a fair point. I'd be curious to see a good comparison of the levels of incompetence though. I would put money that Trump and his goons would come out as the clear leaders in the incompetence Olympics, but you are right that it alone is not something we can rely on

Well, at least in one aspect the Nazis were smarter: They tried to make life better for the majority of their supporters, at least initially. Granted, they did so through massive deficit spending with the intention of plundering other countries down the road in order to finance it, but still.
Trump, meanwhile, very blatantly makes life worse for anyone who isn't a billionaire crony of his. Even that won't be enough to stop his most hardcore supporters, but there are plenty of others who are getting second thoughts.

Agreed. We are already seeing some folk with bitten faces realizing that face-eating leopards have downsides.
I truly believe the regime has fucked things up too much before solidifying power to be able to last much longer. The MAGA deaththrows are going to be brutal and I'm not sure we learn the right lessons to fend off the rest of the oligarchs who are taking power much more intelligently, but I think the US will pull through the worst of Trump.

Maybe, but what will come next? I mean, even if the Democrats return to power, would they actually be willing to dismantle the tools of authoritarianism that Trump uses?
Trump did not create ICE, after all, nor many of the other loopholes that enabled him - he merely supercharged them.
