Now that it is over, I will say that I did attend a completely peaceful protest in my town. I wore a Statue of Liberty crown and had a sign that said, "Liberty and Justice for All Means ALL." I found my friend (we did not arrive together) and I even got to say hello to someone I had met here on Mastodon, which was cool. I saw a couple of other folks I knew, and I talked to a lot of folks I didn't know, which is always pretty cool. I am so bad at it. I am shy in person, and I always feel so awkward. But I did it anyway. There were a lot of people. I am hoping we broke 1,200 but we'll have to see. There was also a lot of community support from cars that were driving by. One SUV had a couple of kids who were holding signs they had drawn themselves on printer paper. They were so happy to be a part of it.I am tired but glad I got to attend. Thankful that The Husband dropped me off nearby and picked me up after. I would like it better if we all went together, but it's probably not safe for him due to his profession. I'm proud of my town for doing this today. I hope that everyone of voting age who was there today gets out and uses their ballot at every opportunity.#uspol
