Unlike all other days in my life, today I will not tune in to the National Commemoration of the Dead on Dam Square in Amsterdam.
Why?
Because there is a prime minister, Schoof, of a cabinet in which a far-right party sits, and the chairman, Bosman, of that ultra-right cabinet, and member of that far-right party ( #PVV ) will lay a wreath there tonight in all his double-hearted cynicism.

@stux 10 years ago on same day sitting at a noisy cafe in Amsterdam. At 20:00 we could hear the birds sing it was so quiet. Impressive - particularly b/c we visited Groesbeek to find a great uncle’s grave the previous day.
