@blogdiva I’m turning off federation both ways on brid.gy.
PS: Be sure to go to your Mastodon Preferences and revoke access for the Bridgy app, to make sure they can no longer read from your account.
@drahardja @blogdiva they also say to block the bridge bot https://fed.brid.gy/docs#opt-out

It worked for me. I blocked it weeks ago, it's been really nice.
10 for 10. It's got a great beat and I can dance to it.

welp,
did a search and just unfollowed one at a time.
FWIW my gut feeling been proven right about the bridge: that it would be mostly a one-way street benefitting people at the hipster nazi bar.
i followed about 50 people. only 5 followed back.
fuck nazi bars.
@blogdiva I followed two up until about two months ago when I couldn't stand it. Easy to unfollow, but blocking the references are more difficult. My filter mostly works, but some sneak through.
Now to block all the people wasting my time with "but, reach".

@drahardja @blogdiva I'm guessing this is for the web version of mastodon, or the official app, maybe? I can do part 1 on Tusky, but part 2 (blocking the domain) doesn't seem to be possible in this way. Will have to log on via web browser to do that. Thanks for the info!

@angelteeth @blogdiva Correct, instructions are for the web interface.
Many 3rd party client apps don’t support domain blocks for some reason.

@drahardja your auntifa liza 🇵🇷 🦛 🦦
That didn't work for me.
I needed to at another at symbol for part 1, step 1.
I'm not sure why that account has two at symbols, but it does.
