    hey, Linux boffins, a request: we want a book.

    we know how to use a computer. we know how to crack open a wiki. we know how to structure a web search. but when it comes to Linux, we're missing the *basics.* the bits that don't go in the wiki in the same way that *how to use a mouse* doesn't go in the wiki, because why would you explain that.

    is there a book we can get – from our local library or said library's Libby subscription or, idk, the archive dot org anization or whatever – that can shore up our understanding? like the catalog lists book titles but we don't know how to judge them, so we'd like to be able to just type a title *y'all* name into the box and see if it comes up.
