@atomicpoet Several big companies & foundations have indeed been working heavily for years to turn all surviving humans into cyborgs.The "Nirvana" for many accelerationists is the perspective of having our brains "uploaded" to a cloud - or even our entire being, as we'll be generated atom by atom, cell by cell.And guess who will own that cloud? lol Probably not a not-for-profit organization.

More precisely, I think the cultural pendulum has swung that way, and now writers are pitching those retro lonely princess pieces to publications - and editors are biting. I hope this will stop soon, maybe if the trump administration starts facing actual consequences. ‍️

@atomicpoet Doug Ford is a corrupt, racist, polluting, inconsiderate asshole whose almost every action on the political stage is synonymous with 'conflict of interest', but I've gotta agree with him when he says that with the Crown Royal plant moving to the US, it's time to take those bottles off the shelves, and I begrudgingly approve of his commitment to eliminating American liquors for as long as the US is in a hostile relationship.Even if I miss the Kraken rum.If the distillers don't want to have their stuff banned up here, then they can start a campaign to have Trump's little economic tantrum cycle stilled. Until they and theirs stop backing the tangerine tyrant, though, they can spin.
