@scottjenson I don’t think “AI journalists” are unwelcome. I do think AI boosters are unwelcome, whether or not they call themselves journalists.

@Cass_m yeah I honestly don’t understand how the yanks get anything done when 50% of every presidential term is spent in campaign mode, but that’s another matter.

@Remittancegirl @jzb I remember thinking what a relief it was, after Biden was elected, to not have to be constantly hearing about US politics for a while. (As a non-American.) It dialed back down to only a 'normal' amount of news for a while.

(and then, of course, when the multi-year presidential election process started up again, it returned to the previous ridiculous levels.)

Considering what a big deal it is for most companies to successfully raise VC money, they want us to believe that it wasn't important enough to make time to announce it? Any other company would drop everything to shout it from the rooftops.

And a funding round is a significant amount of work already, so are we supposed to believe that after all that work they had to put into it, they didn't schedule time to even do the tiniest announcement about it?

And like, I would have guessed that the VC firm itself also has PR people whose job it would be to help out with that, and they were still too busy? No.
