Mynydd-y-Gaer: Hillfort in Denbighshire. #HillfortsWednesday There's a quite steep side, and a gentle sloping side. The defences on the western side are the best preserved, with no really obvious entrances, but the views are terrific. Got some loot in the mailbox on October 24 from the Strang Beorn Crowdfunding. I’m feeling the art print. The first impression is it keeps its promise. Strang Beorn is a proper dark and grim setting based on British and Celtic mythology framed in a #morkborg context. It has curses and madness and druids, a hillfort and surroundings players get to explore. The map is kind of confusing - with its MB styling, I couldn’t find everything. Pors Poulhan allée couverte: On a headland overlooking the Baie D'Audierne, this allée couverte is in a tremendous position. #TombTuesday Excavations have shown it to have not only been constructed and used by neolithic flint workers, but also for burials in the bronze age, iron age, and by the Gallo-Romans. In the middle ages it was used as a quarry for building stone, - since then it has been used as a military look out post, and as such was blown up during the second world war.

Yesterday we visited Green Mountain Falls, CO to visit the kinetic sculpture Off the Beaten Path by Patrick Shearn. I wasn’t ready for just how dynamic it was even in the slightest breeze. Reminds me of a murmuration of starlings. Incredible artwork. It’ll only be up through October 19th.
