I mean, if people thought the OGL thing was bad, wait until they are forced to use Grok anytime they want to third party publish anything.

I ran a #PF2e fight with two Hydra's yesterday (mated pair with babies, a reflavored Piranha Swarm) and I have to say this is the weirdest monster I ever played with in terms of how their hit points work. The main two things were:
* Do heads have separate HP from the body? I ruled no, damage done to a head is also done to the body, but it doesn't carry over after a head is severed. This made the heads function like damage-soak minions?
* Does regeration scale with Actual Number of Heads or with Original Number of Heads? I think RAW it should scale with Actual Number of Heads, but to keep things simple I kept it stable at Regen HP is equal to Head HP.

I'm still not sure if I did them correctly. Good fun though. #pathfinder2e

I've just now retired my first #BitD character, Veleris Arran, a spy, with 40 stash and zero trauma.I've just now retired my first #BitD character, Veleris Arran, a spy, with 40 stash and zero trauma. It took me three years of monthly sessions, a very specific set of special abilities, lots of risk-reward assessments and a few very lucky rolls. But we made it.
The rest of the crew, by the way, are at three trauma and about as many coin. Which I think is probably closer to the "usual" experience playing #BladesInTheDark

I ran a Chase in our #pathfinder2e game yesterday.I ran a Chase in our #pathfinder2e game yesterday. No prep, had to build it in 5 minutes while the players gathered snacks. Main lesson learned: put in generous amounts of Easy and Very Easy DCs if you want the players to stand a chance. I used mostly Normal and Hard DCs for their level, overestimating their skills proficiencies, and they never managed to close the distance.
Luckily, everybody still enjoyed the scene and the players said they would like to do chases more often, so I'm happy.

There's only so many times I can listen to folks optimize the fun out of #Pathfinder2e before I get grouchy.@ordinal oof

Pathfinder 2e: Not For Everyone? -
I'm having a hard time understanding what the new #pathfinder2e class "Exemplar" actually is.@enfors yeah I think that's why they gave the class the Rare trait. It's something your GM has to be willing to deal with, so they have to give permission.

I'm having a hard time understanding what the new #pathfinder2e class "Exemplar" actually is.@enfors yes but it's not just items. Some icons change the hero's skin or eyes etc. But it's always something that distinguishes them from "normal" adventurers. And at 3rd, 7th and 15th level you get an Epithet, a title, literally like "Alexander *the Great*" which also influences your reputation and your ingame abilities.
At 20th level you're basically a demigod. Including legendary props/features associated with you. Like Maui with his fish-hook, or Hercules and his lion-skin and club.

I'm having a hard time understanding what the new #pathfinder2e class "Exemplar" actually is.@enfors I read the Exemplar as a class that builds a PC's reputation and story in the game world as a explicit part of character progression. E.g. you build Arthur and Excalibur is literally a part of your build. And it is Excalibur because Arthur has a mythic power within him that makes *his* sword Excalibur. No one else can wield it (at least not in the same way).
NPCs will know the PC's name, their titles and deeds *as well as* their fabled items. The spark of divinity is what powers this.
