OH WOW, WE SCORED AGAIN. -
LAFC hit the crossbar twice and the post once on a practically wide open net!'n'nAnd then with a few seconds left, it crossed inches from the goal!'n'nGoing to penalty kicks!@atomicpoet Yeah. That was amazing. Sometimes overconfidence can be your downfall. So they will appeal the red, and hopefully Minnesota wins against San Diego. But it looks like Halbouni is out now. So hopefully the appeal will work. Otherwise the new guys who haven't played will be the new CB's.

Halbouni, a Vancouver defender, is now down!'n'nIt might be 2 men down!'n'nGood God, this is rough!@atomicpoet Did you think that should have been a second yellow on Blackmon? A foul maybe, but yellow? I hope they appeal if they manage to win.

CPL FINAL IS GOING TO EXTRA TIME!'n'nSnow plow is being used to clear the field.'n'nThere might be 40 minutes of delay before we begin again, but I’m staying right by my seat.@atomicpoet I'm a little worried that the field will be worse after plowing. Sometimes when snow is removed all that's left is a sheet of ice. Not to mention the divots made by the plow.

About to watch the Canadian Premier League Final between Atlético Ottawa and Cavalry FC.@atomicpoet This may be one of the best games I've watched all year. I can't believe how many people are still in the stands. It's insane but so much fun.

About to watch the Canadian Premier League Final between Atlético Ottawa and Cavalry FC.@atomicpoet I just turned the game on. It's crazy.

About to watch the Canadian Premier League Final between Atlético Ottawa and Cavalry FC.@atomicpoet I remember that Matt Turner, the former goal keeper for New England Revolution, suffered frost bite to his feet playing in a USMNT World Cup qualifying game in St. Paul against Honduras in Feb 2022. I think the reported temperature at the time was 2º F with a wind chill of -12º F.
Ridiculous. There were, and are, safe indoor stadiums where they can play. It's crazy to risk the safety of the players.

Whoa—breaking news!@atomicpoet You are right about the name confusion. Vancouver is synonymous with the Whitecaps. This is my 4th season following the Whitecaps and, until very recently, I didn't even know there was a team called Vancouver FC. But I'm not the most informed soccer fan.
Anyway I wish the new team, players and organization, good luck next year. Should be fun.
