@viz Not really. To me, this is basically another form of code switching. You know the way you talk differently when you are interacting with either friends, family, or co-workers?This is the same thing, only on a larger scale. Jokes and humor that would work for one target audience would fall flat for the other.

@viz These patterns are old, and often very ugly (speaking as someone who studies German folk tales). We need to do better.
