Salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder (or razor thin shredded onion fried in with then). Adding the seasonings as its cooking to mix in well with heat.

IIRC this was by design. They’ve got a fairly short lifespan (only a couple years i think?) before they fall.

I’ve got a pretty piece from Smithey Ironworks that i absolutely love; it has a rounded handle, not a flat one, so it doesn’t dig into my palms while handling it.
