A FATAL Mistake

Would be hell to play, though, there's definitely better horny RPGs to try
My issue with horny RPGs is that if you can find people to play with that are into whatever kink the book is catering to, why would you bother to play at all? Just have sex.
And on the flipside, if you dont want to have sex with the people you're playing with, why play the sexy game? Just play a regular RPG
Today we learned about Bliss Stage which sounds a lot better than F.A.T.A.L in some regards.
There's also Thirsty Sword Lesbians which focuses a lot on consent.

Tagging this as NSFW would have been appreciated. I filter those things out for a reason
I agree. I normally don't do it, but I still like to know when I'm about to get hit with some of that stuff. There are... some bad memories attached to it.

Yeah, the dildo in the middle of the table pushes this one over the top
Obviously, that's a... bishop. For the big chess board in the background. It even has a suction cup so you can play vertically.

Someone's clearly never been in a queer polycule.

Yup, sorry about that, I wasn't sure if it qualified, but I'll keep that in mind for future reference, apologies.
Imo the Internet was a vastly better place when everyone practiced personal responsibility and assumed that everywhere online was inherently wild and potentially unsafe unless specifically deemed otherwise, not the other way around

Because I have friends that are fun to flirt with but aren't actually into me, and because I'm too fucked up with intimacy issues to fuck anyone?

I don't disagree, but I also do very much appreciate a verbose tagging system (tumblr, e6, etc). Makes it easier to find what you're looking for, alongside giving people warning.

Although I do think it's best to be cautious regardless. -

Life isn't meant to be chaste! Forgoe your chains for whips!

This is a space for RPG memes, and the meme is covering a topic regarding oversexualized female characters discussing being raped by monsters with a dildo on the table. Iām not perturbed by downvotes, but I noticed them for just asking for it to be tagged as NSFW. Iāve had some rough experiences trying to play tabletop games as a woman and would ideally not have to be reminded of poor behaviour in a space thatās supposed to be lighthearted.
I donāt expect everything to be made for me, thatās why I block a lot of ālewdā content and a blanket NSFW block. I went through Barrens and CoD chat as a young woman so I know what you mean by āvastly better placeā.
Try and have some empathy for why someone might not want to see this content.

Although I do think it's best to be cautious regardless.I responded to who you agreed with. I wonāt go into it further. Just giving you a ping, and hope that you can see where I was coming from. Didnāt realise asking for a tag was such a big deal, so honestly just gonna block this community.

I'm sorry. I agreed from the perspective of being disturbed by watching spaces becoming increasingly closed off (Such as clasic Pixar films no longer permitting comments on YouTube), not from an angle of wanting to genuinely return to the kinds of communities that the internet used to be composed of.
<br>
I do agree with you on tagging, I only wished to express a desire for a larger amount of tags for disambiguity, but clearly I clearly hadn't considered that in doing so, I was making the space unsafe for you.
<br>
I originally left the post untagged because I hadn't thought too much of it, but I have now adjusted in accordance with your commentary. I am sincerely sorry for not working to accomodate your concerns. I'll exercise more caution in future and hope that this hasn't too harshly soured your perspective on what is, from what I can see as a visitor, a generally pleasant community. -

Hi. I think you combined comments of two separate people as coming from one person. My understanding is that OP agrees that your reasonable perspective is valid and reasonable and will do it's best to be considerate about things like that it in the future.

Having empathy does not mean we have to work under the assumption that everything should cater to the most delicate of sensibilities (even if the reason for said delicate sensibility are well-justified). I am empathetic and I am sorry for the additional challenges navigating experiences like this can cause you.
I still stand by my point.
And to your point, yes tagging is a wonderful system and it does help those like yourself in your navigation. I support tagging and like OP mentioned, love systems that allow for robust tagging.
But let's be clear, that kind of tag is a very kind and wonderful courtesy, the absence of which is not malicious, it is neutral.

the issue ... isn't just that it's ... horrifically racist and misogynistic, it's also a terrible game
It's funny, but it seems like I read this phrase a lot, and not just about games (book series, movies, shows, etc). I can't think of any other good examples off the top of my head, but it seems that every time an artist takes a really cool or interesting concept and fills it with bigotry, they also fill it with poorly written mechanics, potholes, clunky dialogue...
Sure, there's media with language that doesn't age well, but it seems like 9/10, when something is made with blatant hate, there isn't even an incentive to try to push past or ignore it; the content is garbage with or without the drivel. The initial concept is just good enough to get people to want to give it a shot.
I think that what's happening here is that
- The vast majority of any <thing> is poorly made, but because there are better alternatives, the poorly made ones rarely see the light of day
And
- The more specialized or niche something is, the more likely it is to stand out despite being poorly made
This includes racist garbage and weird fetishes, yes, but also any other game whose main selling point is its uniqueness instead of its quality.

It's not always about horniness, per se. For example, I'm trans, and giving birth is something I'll always want but probably will never get to experience. So maybe I want to experience a "power fantasy" of sorts where my trans character performs dark rituals to give birth to eldritch abominations, all so she can experience motherhood.
I'm sure there are other experiences that people would want to rp but not necessarily to experience irl. It certainly overlaps with kink, but it's not like you're masturbating at the table. You're telling a story with adult themes, not (necessarily) writing erotica.

Penisis and Neuteronomy.
How many gonads did king Soloman request in Neuteronomy? I'm struggling to remember, and want to ace my next Sex Bible Study.

I just want to be considerate, and it gets hard when the tags are black and white, instead of allowing for depth.

This I agree with, and I think your call for a "suggestive" tag is a great way to fill in a lot that missing depth.
