#ScribesAndMakers - How do you listen to music, and why do you choose to listen that way? (Streaming? Which platform(s)? Physical media? Live?)Headphones, using songs I either bought on CD back in the day and converted to MP3s, or which I bought from iTunes.I mean, I am no more happy with Apple as a company than I am with all the other tech giants, but I do appreciate that it is still possible to actually legally download music files from them to the device of your choice without having to worry about subscription fees, DRM, and similar nonsense.

#ScribesAndMakers 5. October: Do you make your creations available for people to read/ view/ use? If so, where, and why there? If not, why not?Beyond my books and my Patreon campaign, I am also slowly adding my tales to a wiki. 203 tales are up there, and I have about 550 further tales to go.https://wiki.sunkencastles.com/wiki/Main_PageAs for making them available for use, I put all my translations under a Creative Commons Zero license.

#ScribesAndMakers 1. How are things looking for you creatively this month?Well, I have the first draft for most of the translations I want to publish this month, which range from nicht haunts, to mysteriously revolving stones, to combined bestiality and necrophilia, to a creative approach to dragon slaying that would make any veteran #ttrpg player proud. The big question, as always, is how much progress I will make on revising my book manuscript.

#ScribesAndMakers - 16 Sept. Which part of your work makes you unique/different from anyone else?I don't know of anyone else in the world these days who is translating German folk tales in such an organized fashion as I do. There were some people who have translated individual collections in the last few decades - like the Schönwerth collection about the Upper Palatinate - but no one tries to be really comprehensive, with tales selected from all over the German-speaking territories of the time. Also, even those who did translate some tales did not release them under a #CreativeCommons Zero license.Really, it was when I realized that I had a totally unique business case in front of me - which is an utterly rare thing in today's world - that I also decided that I _had_ to do this.My translation work might not pay all the bills yet, but I have zero regrets.

#ScribesAndMakers day 10: Do you consider reading a creative activity? Why or why not?To some degree it is, because I constantly get new ideas when reading stuff. But it's a conscious effort to write those ideas down.

#ScribesAndMakers 9/2. What creative activities are you hoping to work on this month? My most important goal is to _finally_ get the manuscript for "Old Goatfoot" ready for the beta readers.

#ScribesAndMakers Aug 14. What's the funniest needlework you've ever made or seen? Can you share a picture? This one always makes me laugh.
