The urge to rant on here just about the writing community in general is slowly eating away at me. No writers are better than others, not in any way. We're all just writers, published or unpublished, and I'm sitting here saying this as someone who has actually published their work. It doesn't matter. If you write, you're a writer. Period, end of. No such thing as a blunderer, bumbler, non-professional (or amateur, even) writer, just because it's for fun or unpublished. Again, you're a writer. Whether it's a hobby or you're making money from it, whether you write fun fanfiction or original work, yeah, you're still a writer. It's an even playing field, and everyone should be considered equals and treated as such. Sorry. Thanks for hearing me out. Maybe one day I'll go more in depth about this. But if there's one thing about the #WritingCommunity here it's this: 98% of the writers on Masto are wonderful, lovely to chat with, as friendly as could be, and very talented. They're my friends. The other 2% are awful, conceited, snobbish, holier than thou, and need a reality check. Spread more love. Everyone deserves it, and so do you. You get what you give.
