My sister made Shawarma rice with chicken thighs

No idea what “shawarma rice” is supposed to be but that looks fucking delicious
Kinda like Kabsa rice but…shawarma. Yeah it was delicious
-
Got a recipe?
I don’t know what website she used but I’m pretty sure you’ll find one you’re looking for if you search around, I didn’t ask her

Every culture has their version of biryani
With Filipino dishes, I’d have to agree also.
But which version of Biryani is the best in your opinion? Hopefully I won’t have started a biryani war here

I think it’s already clear based on my selection of the defining term

It was tasty if I say so myself. Usually the lighting in our dining table is terrible (need to get better lights heh), maybe it was just my phone’s quality that made it look good
Either way, thank you!

Some people just don’t appreciate complementing a woman on her cooking.
I can understand. It can be reductive if that’s the only characteristic we value someone for. I, myself, value a great sense of humor, but preferences, like seasonings, are to taste.

I mean you don’t know me personally so I’d just laugh at your jokes, even if you did, I’d still laugh and move on, because I know it’s just banter. Clearly not the case for whoever downvoted you
Well put!

I appreciate that your reply is both sardonic of the haters, yet respectful of OP.

That looks grand with the thighs nestling into the rice. And you know that rice flavour is going to have benefited from the meat juices as it cooked. It’s such a good way to cook meat and rice. There’s a reason biryani is so popular!
I might be inclined to hit it with some chopped parsley for colour. And a good spritz of lemon if she’s not already done that.

Hehe thank you very much! Now that you’ve mentioned it, we did have some parsley lying around, just forgot to picture it it was too late
and she made a tahini sauce with a bit of lemon to go with it too!
