@cstross Looks like a script for the Bond villain of our times: vapid, more vapid and carelessly destructive in OTT white and gold.

This guy is delusional. This was a bribe to curry favour.

"Documentary filmmaker Stefano Da Frè, who was not involved in the project told CNN that Amazon would have done their homework before making that kind of outlay, explaining that Amazon “is a data-driven company.

“With all their tools, all their AI, Amazon Web Services — they didn’t just come up with that number randomly,” he said. “They believe, through their metrics, that it’s worth that amount.”

Ok, Monsterdon fans, are you willing to allow a spyware visible search on Amazon for a novel titled *’Melania: Devourer of Men’* in the interest of the greater good?

It’s currently selling for $6.53 on Amazon.ca if you really want a paperback copy but the ebook download is free.

Reddit has proposed an effort to get this trending.

@cstross @_L1vY_ It seems that #Melania rivals the Kirk Cameron Christmas movie as one of the worst ever made. I have to think it will rack up at least a few points on Rotten Tomatoes as I think there have got to be some #MAGA movie reviewers out there.

OUCH! "It’s one of those rare, unicorn films that doesn’t have a single redeeming quality. I’m not even sure it qualifies as a documentary, exactly, so much as an elaborate piece of designer taxidermy, horribly overpriced and ice-cold to the touch"

@cstross It's like when you go to see a MAJOR MOTION PICTURE in an IMAX theatre, and the previews are all rattles, swooshes, and wooshes before the movie begins, with dark, soulless visuals and muffled, indecipherable vocals that leave you craving subtitles like a villain in a particularly bad Batman movie... but it's just your First Lady.

@KraftTea I have never seen a motion picture in an IMAX cinema. In fact, I haven't been to a cinema in going on 20 years.
