While I do ship it to people, the entire first batch is accounted for unfortunately! XD So good luck making your own! It really makes the house smell amazing!

Apple Butter! -
Apple Butter!I let it go for most of a day, at least 8 hours. Buuut I prefer the slow method. I plan around my lack of energy by starting the process, taking a nap while it cooks down, then can it later, usually at night so the steam filled kitchen doesn’t melt me as much!

Apple Butter!Well, the start of apple butter! 7ish lbs of apples, 1/2 cup of sugar and brown sugar, couple teaspoons of cinnamon, tablespoon of vanilla, dash of salt, and a bit of nutmeg. Once cooked down and pureed, I’ll can it!

Tomato harvestIts why I’ll can in the middle of the night, it’s cooler!
-
Tomato harvestCanning is also fun. Physically annoying but fun!
Also sometimes sticky, depending on what’s being canned lol

What's an unusual ingredient, spice, or food item that you can't live without?Indeedy they do! They’re pricey though so I don’t order from them often. Mother will probably get me a gift card to them for the holidays so it’s just a matter of time!

What's an unusual ingredient, spice, or food item that you can't live without? So amazing! Apparently there’s a lady at the grocery store that will literally buy out the entire stock when it comes in sometimes.
That lady is not me, because I’m a sad lady when it happens and I can’t buy any lol

Chili and cornbreadI like chili. It’s such a nice filling meal, specially with cornbread!

Roasted Butternut soup.Looks very pretty!

What food do you enjoy eating but hate the smell of?I like eating the candied jalapeños. They also smell fine once canned.
Cooking them is bad as it’s vinegar, more vinegar, a lot of vinegar, and hot vinegar and turmeric and jalapeños makes the kitchen feel deadly lmao.

What's the spice you use most? The bestest! Love that stuff!

Betty Crocker broke recipes by shrinking boxesWe had to go through my great grandmothers hand written recipes and add measurements because of things like this, all the way back in the 90s it was an issue. A can of cherries was several ounces larger than it was then, and I guess even worse now.
She also liked to do a lot of “Add flour until it’s sticky” so we just added “Start with x amount of cups of flour then add more as needed”

Betty Crocker broke recipes by shrinking boxesI’d cry if I had to tower of hanoi every time I started up my stand mixer!

Hot Pot!You pick a soup base, sometimes as a group or like here, everyone has their own little pot. Then you start requesting the various meats, veggies, etc to put in the soup base. Those plates of meat etc are brought to the table. You then stir those into the soup base then eat when done. There was also a serve yourself dipping bar so you could make dips to put onto the meat, also where the desserts were. It’s fun! It was all you can eat so just keep ordering the plates. Had to finish them though, or like a buffet you get charged for waste.

Hot Pot!It was really fun and tasty! I’ll have to go again and try the bbq though!

Hot Pot!First time at a hot pot restaurant. The one here finally opened after delays we thought doomed it. No photos of the pot, because once it arrived we started eating! Some photos of some of the plates though!
