I wish I liked funnels more. People seem to really enjoy them, but they have never clicked for me.

Last night, I was reading about a Vancouver-based shoegaze band called La Lune and kept seeing references to a Fleetwood Mac cover.@stumblewyk @gilhova Exactly! But when they played "Dreams" in the first part, I thought while it isn't anything like shoegaze, it has an ethereal quality that makes it well suited to be adapted to that genre. I hope they refined it even more and added it to their live sets. It's a really good cover.

@stumblewyk I hadn't watched any of their videos before this morning, but it's a cool idea, especially for bands that haven't hit it big like La Lune.@stumblewyk I hadn't watched any of their videos before this morning, but it's a cool idea, especially for bands that haven't hit it big like La Lune. I'm sure the YT algorithm will serve me up a platter of their videos now though!

I tracked it down - it's part of a web series that challenges bands with impromptu covers. In this video, they're asked to cover "Dreams," which is perfect for a shoegaze song IMO. And let me tell you, their cover is awesome, as is the record of their creative process!

I'm pleased to share a birthday with the Phantom, the very first costumed comic-book superhero, who made his first appearance 89 years ago today.@badcatman Happy Birthday!
