@Tim_Eagon The disingenuousness of this “statement” is unbelievable. “Gee whiz gang, we’ve been good guys in the past!” is a helluva note. But then again, when the rest of their rationale is “we were only enforcing the rules” and “those guys were kind of assholes about it”, I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised.

@Heidiknits Me too. I already had to take our previous dog to the emergency vet when she got bit or stung my something in the face. Luckily, it will be too hot over the next few days to let her outside for extended periods of time given her thick, black coat. That should cut down on the shenanigans.

Jack White released a video for his song "Archbishop Harold Holmes" (one of my favorites from his awesome 2024 album No Name, one of the best of the year IMO). The video itself was the brain child of it's star, John C. Reilly, who talked White into making the video. @Craig it’s not a ban per se, but you need multiple permits and licenses, it has to be your primary residence, you need your property inspected by the city, you need to keep a guest registry, you need to submit quarterly reports, you have to collect sales and room taxes, etc. Essentially, they made it a giant PITA. Fines for violations are $1K per day!
