A place for people to discuss Pathfinder 2e
Rules:
1. Be Kind and RespectfulCriticism of the game or its mechanics should not turn into attacks on a member of the community. Community members are encouraged to ask questions or seek advice, and should be able to expect respectful and courteous answers. In general, treat others of the community as you would a colleague or friend.
2 Do Not Post Copyrighted Content
Content that is not covered by the Open Game License, Open RPG Creative License, and/or made publicly available by Paizo or a third party is not allowed. View Paizo’s community use policy.
3. Post Content of Quality
Posts should be able to spark dialogue, add interesting perspectives, educate, and otherwise contribute to the 2E experience. Quality EX: homebrew rules, analysis, something you discovered/encountered, memes that teach mechanics, stuff with a story. Low effort EX: the cover of a rulebook, AI generated content, unconstructive complaints such as “I hate…” or “X sucks,” does not relate to Pathfinder 2E.
4. Limit Promotional Posts
This is a community and we welcome your content but we expect your participation in this community in return. Only 1 self-promotion post per week is allowed. Verified content creators may promote new content regularly. Only verified content creators can promote posts which may require purchases, sign-ups, or provide incentives for participation.
With the advent of Pathfinder Infinite, users advertising Infinite products will also fall under this rule.
5. Art Post Details and Attribution
Art posts must include a follow-up comment relating them to Pathfinder 2e. This could be a campaign summary, ABC and build, or character profile, as appropriate. You must also credit the artist: images that are uncredited or AI generated will be removed.

Well a friend said he’d make this community jokingly and I guess I beat him to the punch. Hahaha. Fuck you Steve.
That being said, I have no idea what this community is for. I’ll post stuff here occasionally whether it’s just random musings or something. Gonna treat it kinda like a lil journal or something. Maybe address some stuff that I haven’t. We shall see.

Biodiversity is a term used to describe the enormous variety of life on Earth. It can be used more specifically to refer to all of the species in one region or ecosystem. Biodiversity refers to every living thing, including plants, bacteria, animals, and humans. Scientists have estimated that there are around 8.7 million species of plants and animals in existence. However, only around 1.2 million species have been identified and described so far, most of which are insects. This means that millions of other organisms remain a complete mystery.
Over generations, all of the species that are currently alive today have evolved unique traits that make them distinct from other species. These differences are what scientists use to tell one species from another. Organisms that have evolved to be so different from one another that they can no longer reproduce with each other are considered different species. This is a fictional community meant to enhance my creative skills as well as other people creative skills and to waste more time on Lemmy. Why? You might ask… Well, I had never seen any one apply this idea before and we are entering a age where a lot of stories is going to be AI-Generated. Why a king? Will, I need to be super motivated to engage, so hopefully this community stay alive. What is the content like here? This is probably going to be something like just me posting and shitposting+ roleplay/fiction stories and lore. Why should you join? You shouldn’t. This community might not be something that benefits you or even advance your creativity. You can treat that like unfinished unprofessional art work that is almost never going to be finished. I might delete this community later, I might not delete it who knows? But I really don’t want to surrender to AI and lose my creativity, so hopefully some people might enjoy role-playing as my minions and the friction create fire(Which is stories and lore). I want to stay weird, I don’t want to become another gear in the machine of life. Who knows maybe I click with someone in this community and we get something real. I don’t like bullshit and I don’t like to invite greatness that I am not worth, I just want to have a place that is super comfy to me. The world is getting ruined, people are getting more conservative, social media is being ruined and climate change is going full speed and we are in a loneliness epidemic. Most people are evil and rude and we are in the hopeless age. Fiction can fix all of that and more. While some drivers definitely deserve some hate, most of them didn’t choose car-centric life out of free will.

Racism, transphobia, misogyny, ableism, homophobia, chauvinism, fat-shaming, body-shaming, stigmatization of people experiencing homeless or substance users, etc. are not tolerated. Don’t use slurs. You can laugh at someone’s fragile masculinity without associating it with their body. The correlation between car-culture and body weight is not an excuse for fat-shaming.

Stay on-topic. Submissions should be on-topic to the externalities of car culture in urban development and communities globally. Posting about alternatives to cars and car culture is fine. Don’t post literal car fucking.

No traffic violence. Do not post depictions of traffic violence. NSFW or NSFL posts are not allowed. Gawking at crashes is not allowed. Be respectful to people who are a victim of traffic violence or otherwise traumatized by it. News articles about crashes and statistics about traffic violence are allowed. Glorifying traffic violence will get you banned.

Rules:
1. No Bigotry or Hate SpeechAny forms of Homophobia, Transphobia, Queerphobia, Racism, or Ableism will be met with swift and harsh action and will not be tolerated here whatsoever. Bigots will be banned immediately on-sight. This includes apologia of it. Trying to be politely or intellectually bigoted i.e. “Just asking questions” won’t be tolerated.
2. No ZionismAny forms of Zionism or Zionist rhetoric will not be tolerated here, this includes Zionist apologia, accusations of antisemitism towards anti-Zionists, or blatant denial or downplaying of the genocide towards Palestinians. Any attempt to uphold or prop up the IHRA definition of antisemitism, will be treated as Zionism. Anyone engaging in Pro-Zionist sentiment or apologia will be actioned in accordance with its severity. Note: Trying to find loopholes or whataboutery to see what is or isn’t genocide denial or Zionism will be treated as a violation of this rule. Don’t test us.
3. Stay CivilPlease maintain civil discourse in the community. Do not engage in arguments with others, name-calling, or insults. Note that calling out bigotry or Zionism is not considered an insult. In heated arguments users are encouraged to or even required to disengage failure to do so will result in mod action.
4. No MisinformationSpreading of misinformation intentionally in this community is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Spreading misinformation hurts the credibility of the community and can mislead people sometimes in dangerous ways. Users who intentionally post misinformation as articles, comment answers, or in attempt to win arguments will be actioned swiftly. Note: This includes Russian and Chinese propaganda. Users with a history of such posting will be banned on sight.
5. No AI ContentPlease do not post articles or content primarily created using generative AI. Generative AI content may contain misinformation or be lower quality and thus is discouraged. Posts and comments featuring it will be removed. However this community does not allow or tolerate Anti-AI trolling or hostility and users who engage in such behavior will be actioned for it, additionally Anti-AI trolling violates Rule 3 and often Rule 4 so it is generally unacceptable already.
Note: Rules 1 & 2 may be subject to preemptive mod action due to their severity, and they apply to a user’s entire post history. Not just this community.

Here are three widely tested systems which offer free PDF rulebooks.
Basic Fantasy Created to be compatible with 3/3.5e, this is fully fleshed out OSE goodness written to be more approachable. Uses ascending armor class. Print options are sold at near cost and are very very inexpensive.
Old School Essentials Basic OSE is the most popular reproduction of the original B/X set. Uses descending armor class. With several different iterations at several different prices, this PDF is free and covers the basics. Enough to get a game going.
White Box : Fantastic Medieval Adventure Game A spiritual successor to Swords & Sorcery White Box. This is the complete OSR experience. Uses descending armor class, but contains alternate status for ascending. Like Basic Fantasy, the print version is under five bucks on amazon.
