I made all my campaigns the same way I wrote design docs for games I wanted to make. It’s literally exactly the same, except that the dice and I are the computer. I’m not an executive at EA, tho, so none of my shit is done as live service and contains zero MTX. I’m more like Valve and just operate on my own sweet time.

When the party cleric is also the tank Literally 3e/3.5e cleric; can wear any heavy armor, can use all shields except for the tower shield, and divine spells have NO spell failure chance I remember my party + DM were shocked when my cleric charged to the front of the line during combat because they were used to 4e clerics and traditional cloth wearing WoW priests; I was rocking the highest AC in the party

Now you get edicts and anathemas instead of a general good/evil that you’re obligated to follow. There aren’t alignments in Pathfinder 2E after the remaster.

You’re both right - Order of the Stick is the webcomic hosted at GitP. The site also hosts one of the more (possibly most?) active 3.5 discussion forums around these days, with lots of reference threads and class handbooks, rules discussions, and occasional people coming in for build or DM advice.

you probably have the same couple giantintheplayground pages saved that I do.

I’m pretty sure loads of other classes have alignment restrictions - notably clerics and paladins I remember my D&D 3.x DM insisting we follow RAW, so if I wanted to take levels in assassin (who else remembers prestige classes?) then I had to be evil. 3 players went along, and the druid betrayed us to the “good” guys. Had a massive brawl where we (team evil) won, thanks in part to a hail mary “I run around the corner and hide. That’s… a natural 20 for 37” the betraying druid player couldn’t beat.

The class fantasy never appealed to me. They can be powerful, but I don’t have any real interest in being a dirt wizard or turning into animals. More of a rogue guy, or arcane caster if I can get over spells-per-day being my anathema.
