@stux I was afraid that, by using the 1% figure, people would too easily think, that others will be doing the donations. With 10% I hope to entice more people to consider a donation. I mean, who will seriously miss €12 for a years donation! Side note: I never want to make donation an obligation! Everyone has to make his/her/their own consideration.

@OctaviaConAmore Yeah, while at first the silly placeholders made me laugh, the inconsistency means filters need 80 thousand variations to block it all, while being overly inclusive of the fuzzy red Muppet when you just dont want to hear any more about the billionaire fascist.It's not like this is X or TikTok where you gotta try and get around *official* filters. Just respect people's choices about what they have the bandwidth to engage with.

Update. I'm happy to see that #Mastodon will launch its own #Fediverse flavored version of #Bluesky #StarterPacks. https://blog.joinmastodon.org/2025/10/our-ideas-about-packs/ This is smart. It will greatly help new users find and follow people with common interests. Hence it will make it easier for veterans to recruit newcomers to test and join Mastodon.
