The thing is that the inside lock can always be bypassed by from the outside by staff. One of the best measures against that is a little strap that makes it possible to physically keep the little latch in place. When it’s overwritten it normally snaps back, but that strap keeps it in place. Protecting against staff is one thought, also against people who really want to get in your room like abusive partners and such. I totally understand why being in a room that for a fact can easily be opened by a stranger can be quite unsettling to people, especially women.

I’d argue her exasperated acceleration through the five stages of grief adds a lot to the video, but I understand not wanting it.

If the idea involves simply walking into Avernus, I’ll be as impressed as I’ll be amused. Beyond that, did the party specifically leave some members behind when I did not notice, or are they simply offscreen during this comic?

This ended up being the saddest session of the campaign.

I think the Venn diagram of non-D&D TTRPG players and programmers is a circle.

I am just very picky about genre. I don’t really like dystopia, something like Chasing Adventure is much more my speed

The only things I know about Lancer are this very specific style of memes and that kill six billion demons rules. Is it any good as a game?

Depending on the inn really. If the innkeeper is having a long nose, a moustasche reminding you of whiskers, a tall hat that covers the ears and offers you a “safe-good sleep-night for you and your man-thing friend-allies” you kind of deserve being attacked. This happened to a group some days after they killed a human sized white furred rat and its armoured bodyguard, but letting their slaverat run away after since he didnt participate in the fighting and so was innocent.

I should, but the corp is pretty tiny, so it doesn’t come up very often.

Dread-likes: Super lightweight, story- and character driven, with an unique mechanic that abstracts the whole rule book into a jenga tower. Seriously: if you have never played a round of dread, you are missing out.

I’m a first responder. I occasionally have to go through the pockets and belongings of unresponsive or dead people to search for ID or medical information. Obviously I’m not doing it to steal anything, but it has occurred to me that I have one of the few jobs where I actually “loot” corpses.
