Any convex isohedral polyhedron is a fair die by symmetry. Non-isohedral dice can be made fair, but only through emperical testing, not symmetry.

you know what, it’d be real neat if skeletons were largely assumed to be good because they’re a common result of evil zombies being bathed in purifying divine fire. A vile necromancer raises your corpse, enslaving you against your will and forcing you to do horrible things (probably murdering your family and shit). Then a paladin comes along and fucking nukes the flesh off your bones, freeing you from your torment and giving you a second lease of life. Hell yeah you’d join their church.

calling them by a nickname because you don’t remember their character name but don’t want to break immersion

A dihedron entity float down from the empty hole of a ceiling above your party’s heads. On all sides it glows the same mysterious rune. The barbarian rolls to announce he recognizes the rune. An int check is required. He succeeds the roll - “I recognize those runes! Each is a twenty.” DM: “You didn’t need to roll for that observation” Player: “Yes, but my character would have thought it was a moment of intelligence.”

I was the opposite. I’d have an adventure first session, and a general idea of what was going on in the world, and then just ad-libbed everything from there. I don’t think I ever had anything besides a map of where I thought the party would be for the session, and some npcs. I pulled so heavily from the monster manual for fights… I got a lot of utility from swapping stat blocks and just describing monsters weirdly.

Daggerheart has a system for character’s bonds with each other that could very easily be ported to other systems.

I don’t understand how silence “hard-counters”… I mean it blocks most casting for a round but it’s only a 20 foot sphere, that can easily be moved out of. Yes it gives like one turn of disabling a caster, but honestly, lots of spells give that already. Dilligent casters in a magic heavy setting probably know the dangers of silence and have prepared ways to work around it. I just don’t understand how it’s possible, like you say, “hard-counter every boss”. In specific situations, sure. But “every”? That would seem to me like just not a very smart/tactical DM you play with.

Just a little bit. It was so left field… Like who the hell even thinks about Amy Winehouse anymore? outside of actual fans of her music.

    The Bard in GreenT
Githzarai: Embraced logic and the teachings of Surak. Githyanki: Rejected logic and embraced violence, left Vulcan and journeyed out into the stars to seek a new home. Wait… I’m getting my canon’s confused again…

23 years ago, I actually had a good friend come out in the middle of a campaign, as part of the campaign. They were playing a basilisk that had been shapeshifted to a human by an evil wizard and their character arc was just about getting their real body back. It was extremely awesome.

Huh, I had no memory of him being in The Martian. To me he’ll always be Troy. With a backup of Childish Gambino because I showed this clip to a friend: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMY9y-6W_fQ And the friend said he resembled the musician, which is how I found out that actor also has a rap career. Anyway, thanks for bringing this to my attention!
