I would guess that a culture built by &/or for winged people would have more strapless stuff. Or from the chest over the shoulders and tied up behind the neck. Or otherwise designed to not interfere and/or interact with the wings.

honestly it could just be like “i examine this room”, meaning that, if anything was there, you’d see other important or at least interesting stuff, not just traps or not traps. GM could even do perception checks behind the screen (like it’s done in PF2e) and describe something the character found interesting in the room, no matter the roll. you could examine the room, get described many beautiful paintings and fall on a very obvious trap because you rolled a 1

Shadow of the Demomlord has a spell from the forbidden Tradition called “Hateful Defecation” it simply kills anything with less than 10 max hitpoints and does some damage as you violently shit yourself.

The thing is that the inside lock can always be bypassed by from the outside by staff. One of the best measures against that is a little strap that makes it possible to physically keep the little latch in place. When it’s overwritten it normally snaps back, but that strap keeps it in place. Protecting against staff is one thought, also against people who really want to get in your room like abusive partners and such. I totally understand why being in a room that for a fact can easily be opened by a stranger can be quite unsettling to people, especially women.

I’d argue her exasperated acceleration through the five stages of grief adds a lot to the video, but I understand not wanting it.
